On February 16th and 17th 2024, the talented dancers of the Fitzgerald School of Irish Dance Showcased their extraordinary skills at the Mid- Atlantic Irish Dancing Championships, hosted by the Ridgewood School of Irish Dance at the Hyatt Regency in Morristown, NJ. This event, part of the Rince Tuatha Nua Regional Competitions, drew participants from over a dozen schools, creating a vibrant atmosphere of competition, camaraderie, and celebration.

Hundreds of dancers, spanning all age groups and skill levels, gathered to put their best foot forward with the hopes of securing a qualifying spot for Nationals, followed by the prestigious All Ireland’s and the World Championships of Irish Dancing. The two-day extravaganza featured spirited competition, lively traditional Irish music performed by musicians from Ireland, and a distinguished judging panel consisting of six judges from diverse backgrounds. The event concluded with a joyous celebration, a testament to the dedication and passion of the Irish dance community.

A heartfelt thank you goes out to the Fitzgerald School Dancers, their parents, and the supportive community that rallied to cheer them on as they gear up for the exciting journey towards March Madness and Nationals over the Summer. Congrats to all of our dancers who placed at MAC and who qualified to compete at Nationals!
