Fitzgerald School of Irish Dance Performs with Celtic Woman at State Theatre New Jersey!

On Friday, March 6th, the dancers of the Fitzgerald School of Irish Dance experienced a truly unforgettable milestone. Our students had the incredible opportunity to perform in the lobby of the State Theatre in New Brunswick ahead of the internationally renowned Celtic Woman performance—an evening filled with pride, excitement, and deep meaning for everyone involved.

What made this experience even more special is the journey it took to get here. This performance has been six years in the making. Originally scheduled for March 2020, our dancers were set to share their talents alongside the show—but like so many events at that time, the pandemic brought those plans to an unexpected halt.

After years of waiting, hoping, and holding onto the possibility of another opportunity, that moment finally arrived.

Watching our dancers perform just before the show began was incredibly emotional. They took the floor with confidence, joy, and heart, creating a memorable experience not only for the audience but for themselves and their families. It was a powerful reminder of resilience, patience, and the importance of never giving up on something meaningful.

Many of our dancers and their families stayed to enjoy the Celtic Woman performance afterward, making it a full evening of music, culture, and celebration. The energy and artistry of the night made it one we will cherish for years to come!

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Celtic Woman and the State Theatre New Jersey for inviting us and giving our dancers such a special opportunity. It meant more than words can fully express.

We are so grateful to have finally shared this long-awaited experience—and we couldn’t be prouder of our dancers!
